Connect education with defence-industry capability.
Partner with Defesa Talent to give eligible students and graduates an additional pathway from academic learning into industry-aligned technical development, relevant certification and practical defence-industry experience.
Extend the pathway from education into industry.
Universities build the academic knowledge and professional foundations students need. Defesa Talent complements that education with an industry-facing pathway designed to help eligible students understand defence-sector expectations, develop relevant technical capability and gain exposure to real workplace environments.
Industry Connection
Connect eligible students with pathways into Australia's defence, aerospace and advanced-manufacturing sectors.
Industry-Aligned Development
Give students access to relevant preparation and specialist technical development that complements their academic studies.
Certification Pathways
Provide access to applicable industry-relevant technical certification pathways. Defesa Talent's initial technical training pathway focuses on IPC/WHMA-A-620, with additional capability streams planned as the network develops.
Practical Industry Exposure
Eligible participants may progress to supervised workplace experience with participating Defence & Industry Partners, subject to host requirements and placement availability.
Graduate Employability
Help students build technical awareness, workplace readiness and industry exposure that can strengthen their transition from education into technical careers.
Defence-Industry Engagement
Create an additional connection between university talent and organisations contributing to Australia's defence industrial base.
Academic foundations. Industry context.
Defesa Talent is designed to sit alongside existing university education. We do not replace degrees, university teaching or academic programs. Instead, we provide an additional industry-facing pathway through which eligible participants can develop relevant technical awareness, undertake applicable specialist training and certification, and pursue supervised industry experience.
